Laura Boat

Laura Boat is a singer-songwriter and musician based in Kansas City. She has a Bachelor’s of Music Therapy, where she learned she has been using songwriting as a coping skill before she knew what coping skills were. Her lyrics are reflective and poetic; her sound whimsical and jazzy, inspired by piano-forward artists such as Carole King and Norah Jones. She values authenticity, connection, and balance which shine through in both her musical style and her approach to creativity and performance. She has been making music with her band, Laura Boat and the Brew, since 2023
